Just weeks after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, BYU men's basketball coach Dave Rose announced that he will be returning to the sidelines for the 2009-10 season. Rose underwent emergency surgery to have a tumor removed, and said his cancer is in remission. In four seasons in Provo, Rose is 97-34, with three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and back-to-back Mountain West Conference regular season titles to his credit.
