UFC vice president of regulatory affairs Marc Ratner was confirming one rumor Wednesday, when chatter of future UFC events broke out. Ratner announced on GoodSports radio that the rumored American Airlines Center would indeed host UFC 103 in Dallas on Sept. 19. "We're going to Oklahoma City Sept. 16, and going from Oklahoma City to Dallas Sept. 19. Because they're so close together, it makes sense from a logistics standpoint,” Ratner said. “That's a big week for us." Another big week could likely happen on Dec. 12 or 19 when the UFC could head to Memphis for the first time, possibly with a main event between hometown hero and upcoming “The Ultimate Fighter” No. 10 coach Quinton “Rampage” Jackson fighting Rashad Evans. Ratner confirmed to MMAjunkie.com that the UFC will head to Tennessee for the second time this year (the promotion went to Nashville for UFC Fight Night: Condit vs. Kampmann in April), but didn’t elaborate on possible headliners. With TUF No. 10 finale set for Dec. 5 in Las Vegas and Christmas and New Year’s Eve falling on Fridays, the Memphis show, likely to take place at the 19,000-seat FedExForum, could serve as the UFC’s traditional year-end extravaganza. A final rumor could pit undefeated heavyweight contenders Shane Carwin (11-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) and Cain Velasquez (6-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) against each other at UFC 104 on Oct. 24 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. "Looks like I'll be fighting Oct. 24 in Los Angeles," Carwin posted on his Twitter account. "Excited to know."
