UFL eyes overseas expansion

(via Reuters) · July 1, 2009 · 6:32 PM

The United Football League has not even released team names, logos and uniforms, but commissioner Michael Huyghue is already planning to expand the fledgling league to Europe and Mexico.

This season the UFL will feature four teams playing a six-game schedule. The Las Vegas franchise, led by former NFL coach Jim Fassel, will play at Sam Boyd Stadium.

Yet without playing a single down, Huyghue seems confident enough that the UFL will become an instant international phenomenon. Good luck with that, boss.
