The legend of 'Lightning Lee Murray'

(via ESPN) · July 1, 2009 · 12 AM

One-time UFC fighter Lee Murray went the distance with Anderson Silva, beat up Tito Ortiz in an alley fight, and allegedly is the mastermind behind the largest robbery in world history when a gang of thieves stole over £53 million, or the equivalent of over $92 million U.S., from the Securitas bank depot in Tonbridge, England on Feb. 22, 2006.

Murray, who was being held in a Moroccan jail was freed, albeit briefly last week, before being re-arrested. UK officials are trying to extradite him in hopes of putting him on trial for his alleged role in the crime.
