After initially saying he would reinstate middleweight Thales Leites and welterweight Tamdan McCrory after word broke that both fighters would be cut from the UFC Thursday, UFC president Dana White reversed his tune and said both would indeed be cut. Leites was especially a surprise considering he had just fought for the middleweight championship four months ago. At the UFC 101 post-fight press conference, White said that Leites was not in trouble with the UFC when asked. Apparently after discussing the moves in-house on Friday, White changed his mind and said Leites and McCrory would indeed be let go. “We are cutting them,” White said.
