Middleweight champ Anderson Silva did little to remove the bad taste from UFC fans' mouth from his lackluster win five months ago over Patrick Cote. But the Brazilian did enough on the scorecards to prove triumphant for a record-breaking ninth straight time in the Octagon Saturday night at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. ChucK Liddell lost again, this time to Mauricio "Shogun" Rua in the first round, prompting the inevitable retirement questions.

UFC is a flash in the pan that gained success to fill the void left by boxing. After Tyson, boxing never recovered and a Filipino will not replace that. UFC will follow and transition into 1/2 of what it is today in terms of fans and revenue. Although there is no shortage of flip-flop wearin, TapOut T Shirt, Cali punks out there...they simply do not have $50 bucks to spend after the steroids are paid for.
Wow You guys are idiots... the silva fight was awful but trust me another guy named Silva Tim silva did the same thing and he is gone...its called trying to keep the belt. Dana wont let that crap go on.. the rest of the fights were great but because none of you guys even know what the whole MMA thing is about you saw a crappy title fight and now the UFC is over lol fools.. Boxing SUCKS I love training it but watching it sucks.almost as bad as baseball. boring.
