  1. Decision 2008: the Fascist Party vs. the Corporate Socialist Party.

  2. So, what is the GREAT FOURTH ESTATE going to do to protect the FIRST AMENDMENT to the U.S. CONSTITUTION?

Oh, wait, it doesn't matter - they were just common citizens and student reporters - it's not like these people really count now is it?

  3. Sounds to me like they got what they deserved. The police told them repeatedly to disperse and they didn't. As for the student reporter, well, now he has a cool story to tell at parties.

  4. Sounds like a good lesson to me. LISTEN TO THE POLICE! Now he knows what to do the next time he's at some radical demonstration.

  5. RUPUBLICANS=NAZIS

  6. Rupublicans, Rebinreno? Yep, that sounds like a UNLV education, alright.

  7. Glad to see my article in the Sun!

I just want to make a couple of clarifications about my article: Jim Forrey, the Legal observer that I quote in my article, is not just some random bystander, he's a legal student working for the National Lawyer's Guild. The job of legal observers is to take notes during protest actions to have evidence when cases go to court. He was also arrested with me there. Among the others arrested were volunteer medics and the Minnesota Peace Team, volunteers who worked to ensure that protesters did not confront the police. Many members of the media were also arrested.

The Rebel Yell is also debuting its online edition, and unfortunately there were technical difficulties getting the videos I took into the online edition. You can see them here:

Monday night, a break-away group from the main protest march (presumably an anarchist group) broke some store windows in the downtown. On Tuesday, similar events occured. On Wednesday night, a Rage Against the Machine concert was canceled and the group of concert-goers got unruly when they were told to go home. The police had a pretty rough week, and I sympathize for them. However, on Thursday night they didn't wait for things to get out of hand to break up the protest.

And yes, I do have a good story to tell at parties. However, judging by the comments I've received on the article, I'm not exactly a campus celebrity.
