(via The Salt Lake Tribune) · March 5, 2008 · 9:43 PM

Game-winning kicker from the Las Vegas Gladiators, Steve Azar, signed with the Utah Blaze Tuesday.

The kicker attended Northern Illinois University where he played for all four years, was named to the All-Mac team four times and left NIU as the Mid-American Conference’s all-time kick-scoring leader. Azar began his Arena Football Two (AF2) career with the Memphis Xplorers in 2004 and played one game with Chicago Rush in 2006 before signing with the Gladiators to play in the 2007 season.
