The Associated Press reports out of Salt Lake City that the man at the center of a ricin investigation appears to be a drifter with financial troubles who wore out his welcome in Utah before moving on to Las Vegas, where he has been unconscious in a hospital for weeks. The Salt Lake Tribune also provides more insights into the man, California native Roger Von Bergendorff. The Tribune also reports that the money the government spends on trying to prevent such random security threats could be put to better use.
