Court grants Lake Las Vegas $1.1 million to keep operating

(via Wall Street Journal) · July 24, 2008 · 7:09 PM

The Wall Street Journal's Market Watch reports that the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nevada in Las Vegas has granted Lake Las Vegas use of up to approximately $1.1 million of cash collateral to continue day-to-day operations. That amount includes funding of payroll and critical repairs to the Las Vegas Wash bypass conduit.

The owners of Lake Las Vegas recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

  1. No future, really, zero. Just close the whole mess down right now before these poor morons starve in the desert.

  2. People who bought into Lake Las Vegas certainly aren't 'poor people' so why don't they pitch in and bail themselves out - I certainly hope the government didn't grant them any of the working class taxpayers money to help them continue to live in the lap of luxury while others struggle to make minimal rent/mortgage payments every month.
