AsionOne writer Lee U-Wen says a recent visit to Las Vegas showed him how the economy was slowing down the tourist traffic. He talks about planes that are half-full and normally crowded gaming tables looking for customers. But U-Wen says Las Vegas has beaten the recession odds before, so don't bet against the city riding it out.

    How can the average joe play blackjack at a 15.00 a hand minimum when they're probably lucky to be making 10 bucks an hour? Las Vegas needs to get back to basic and stop courting only the rich and famous.

    I agree with the last Comment. Give The Sucker a far shake. Return to the $1.00 bet tables and the customer will come. Get rid of the College Grad Pit Bosses and go back to basics. The name of the industry is Gambling. Make the little guy feel important. I worked for Meyer Lansky and I owned 19 bars in N.Y.S. You need the constant player as much as you need the whale!
