(via The Associated Press) · August 3, 2008 · 1:41 PM

The Associated Press reports that Comedian George Lopez is joining the effort to get out the Latino vote for Barack Obama.

Lopez, star of ABC's "The George Lopez Show," addressed a rally Saturday in Las Vegas intended to get Hispanic supporters to canvass their neighborhoods and register new voters, according to the AP.

  1. None of these people mean anything they say.. Lopez has used his Mayate joke for years. When does Obama throw him under the bus with Rev. Jackson and Rev. Write. It's all about selling an image of a candidate that cannot answer a question without a clarification from staff in about 30 minutes every time he opens his mouth. Why any hispanic would support Obama when McCain risked his entire campaign trying to negotiate a bi-partisan immigration reform with Ted Kennedy is beyond me. McCain claimed the secure the border folks blocked it so he want to do that and then pass the legislation. Obama wants us to just HOPE

  2. The hispanics can have their choice - neither candidate seems willing to tackle the CRIME of illegally entering this country with anything other than the reward system - I guess if they are clever enough to sneak in then they DESERVE to be made instant citizens.

God help us all and I'll still check box "C" None of the above.........
