Former Sen. Heck to run for governor

Sun columnist Jon Ralston is reporting that former state Sen. Joe Heck will enter the race for governor.

That could pit Heck against Gov. Jim Gibbons and North Las Vegas Mayor Mike Montandon in the Republican primary.

Ralston reports that although there has been chatter that Heck would run, he didn't make up his mind to do so until recently.
