Sen. John Ensign, R-Nevada, head of the Senate Republican election effort, is blaming the McCain campaign for his unhappiness.
The best Republican blog going right now, Next Right, really lays into Ensign.
Soren Dayton notes that it’s quite a thing for Ensign to moan about McCain when one of Ensign’s own charges, Sen. Ted Stevens, gets convicted on all counts of improperly taking gifts.
Maybe Senate Republicans would have more luck preventing a filibuster-proof majority if they stopped getting convicted.

Both Ensign and Reed have to go
Every congress-critter who voted for the bailout should go, no matter what party.
I posted this article earlier. Sen. McCain is taking the entire Republican Party down with him
NOT EVEN CLOSE
Sorry, Senator. Let's Salvage What We Can.

But it seems that two self-centered mavericks don't and won't care about the rest of fellow GOP members.
"Dewey Defeats Truman!"
It's poetic justice to see these Republicans cannibalize each other, even before the votes are counted and McCain could conceivably pull off a win. Their party will have a difficult job over the next decade in "re-branding" exactly what they do stand for. When you abandon your principles in the pursuit of power and greed, the stanchions will fall. One after another are going down and they have no one to blame but themselves.
"Dewey Defeats Truman!"
Mikegino Defeats God!
Hilarious Mike! And how do you see that working out given that there are no similarities between the two instances?
Also, since you don't have any Gods on your side, who do you ask for help?
johnevegas, Well put.It is comical the audacity some of these ignorant right wingers have. The Stevens conviction shows the utter contempt they have for rules and laws not to mention they refuse to accept resonsibility for anything.
McCain is George Bush even when he stands against the Bush and croonies in his own party.
McCain doesn't understand the economy even though he proposes to cut the thing which controls the economy more than anything, taxes; and while his opponent is proposing raising almost all forms of taxes, even if some will be getting a break.
McCain is out of touch even though he understands most people in the country are in the middle, not on the left or the right, unlike his opponent who is going to give many concessesions to the left if president.
If you look at the polls, McCain is out gunned in $$$, volunteers and the media yet he still is in the race somehow. One has to wonder if he had been 30 years younger how different some would see him...
Nevada...
Barack Obama wants to give full entitlements to illegal aliens: health care, driver's licenses (easy access to your jobs), etc.
He says he is for tax cuts, but in truth he will be terrible for ANY small businesses. He is raising social security pay-ins for everyone (4%/couple), and he is raising capital gains and corporate taxes which will kill new jobs and drive them overseas.
He wants OPEN, NON-SECRET UNION VOTING by law. This is horrible for Nevada!
Do NOT believe the mainstream media - you have been DUPED. This article written just today by ABCnews admits it: http://abcnews.go.com/Business/Story?id=...
Please do your research first - do NOT just blindly vote for Obama, the most liberal senator EVER. It is NOT worth giving this country over to a democratic monopoly who will kill our American way of life as we know it.
Obama will cut the military and be tested, Biden admitted it.
wow, cruise, you're spamming this garbage all over the place. At least put out different posts for different threads. This is weak and pathetic. What does McCain stand for? All I've heard from McCainiacs is what Obama stands for. Kind of weird don't cha think?
cruise - "...the most liberal senator EVER."
I honestly don't get where you can make a statement like that and still think you will be taken seriously. All you do is reveal your polarization and inability or unwillingness to think for yourself. Anyone with even half a brain can see right through talking points.
