Attack ads arriving to help Porter’s re-election bid

WASHINGTON — Republican Rep. Jon Porter's tough re-election bid is getting help from outside groups, with two new TV ads attacking his challenger, state Sen. Dina Titus.

Today’s ad comes from the independent expenditure arm of the House Republican campaign committee, which had bowed out of the race earlier this month but is back as promised for the final stretch.

A second ad goes up Thursday courtesy of Freedom’s Watch, the group backed by Las Vegas casino mogul Sheldon Adelson. You can watch it here.

Fact check past ads with Sun reporter Megan McCloskey’s Truth Squad series.
