Illinois Sen. Barack Obama just held a rally at the Culinary Union Local 226 hall, and took a direct shot at the ongoing lawsuit that seeks to shut down the at-large caucus sites on the Strip, designed to allow shift workers -- union and nonunion -- to caucus Jan. 19
"Ever since I got the support of Local 226, the lawyers decided to get involved. The rules were OK when the other campaigns thought they would win the Culinary endorsement," Obama said.
"As soon as you decided to support the outsider, the working people instead of the big shots, all the sudden they decided they wanted to change the rules."
The lawsuit looks more and more like a miscalculation by the plaintiffs -- and their backers -- and a move that could unite the Culinary Union.
Technorati

The Clintons should be ashamed of themselves. Their philosophy is: if you can't win by the rules, change the rules. This is a disgrace and any politician who doesn't denounce it, is condoning it. Union members unite for Obama.
This CLEARLY states that the officials of Vas Vegas DO NOT CARE about the citizens. And Ms. Warne---I didn't realize that she could be so deceptive. What do you tell the children of Las Vegas? What a school system!!!
Obama's just playing the race card, to make people in and out of the public eye afraid to criticize him.
As evidence the Obama campaign had pushed the story of racial prejudice against him, Clinton advisers have pointed to a memo written by an Obama staffer compiling examples of comments by Clinton and her surrogates that could be construed as racially insensitive. The memo later surfaced on a handful of political Web sites.
Yep, poor Obama. Editor of the Harvard Law Review. Senator from Illinois. Receipient of more campaign contribution dollars than anyone else in this election cycle. He's just so frigging disadvantaged because he's black.
Give me a break.
In many people's minds across this country, the Clintons look worse than Swiftboaters.
This lawsuit is certainly a miscalculation; it is (almost) shocking that the Clinton camp would go so far to suppress the vote. I completely support the union’s endorsement of Obama.
And Coolican bases his take (presented as fact) that "The lawsuit looks more and more like a miscalculation by the plaintiffs" on what exactly? Viewing a rally at the Culinary HQ (designed, most likely, to present that very impression)?
Tell me Coolican, which Culinary operative whispered this in your ear?
And if the at-large sites are designed to allow both union and non-union workers to caucus why are every one of the nine sites at union hotels?

By this comment, Obama shows two things: He has no respect for the court system. He is afraid of the court system. Why am I not surprised. The guy is a good talker but a crappy lawyer.
He graduated from Harvard Law School and was editor of the Harvard Law Review. That does not mean he's a good lawyer. It just means he was a good student. Then he went to work for a big corporate law firm, and left after two years. To most practicing lawyers, that means that given his impressive resume, he couldn't stomach paying his dues.
That's OK. It happens to lots of law students. However, in his campaign biography and in his Wikipedia biography, he simply fails to disclose the name of the law firm where he worked in his first job after law school. His resume reads as if those first two years never happened. His resume states that two years after he finished law school he started working for a totally inconsequential law firm in Chicago, stayed 4 years, and then left to be a teacher (not law professor) at University of Chicago. To almost any lawyer you'll meet, Obama's hiding his place of employment for those first two years is a glaring omission, making him grossly untrustworthy. If he came to me with that resume, looking for a job, I would not even bother to interview him, because of that two year omission.
Lawyers have an old expression. Those who can't do it, teach it. Those who can't teach it go into politics.
Let's just face the fact that the teachers know what's best for the Culinary workers;after all they're teachers. So if you don't want to support Hillary there's no need to count your vote!
The Clinton's are pathetic losers....This is Vegas baby....the Clinton's and Harry Reid tried to fix the dice, and they came up snake eyes...just like Bill said, "it's a roll of the dice"
The appearance of racism by Clark County Chair John Hunt and his fellow officers, and the apparent complicity of several Nevada State Democrat Executive Board members, and some unions in this lawsuit isn't lost on anyone in Nevada.
There are no minority officers at Clark County Dems...all the plaintiffs are white. Those involved in this devious plot are white and in positions of power within the Nevada State Democratic Party, or their unions, or both.
Regardless of motives, their lawsuit leaves a very bitter taste that a bunch of white people in control of NVDEMS and its organizations are now attempting through the federal courts to deny caucusing to browner and blacker Democrats.
Senator Harry Reid stubbornly refusing to denounce the suit signals his roaring approval of it. We are appalled at the senator's endorsement of racism, but not surprised. His record on racial matters speaks for itself, and its very poor.
NVDEMS employs no permanent African American employees either.
The NVDEMS party members of this suit all voted to approve the Strip sites months ago thinking THEIR candidate would win the Culinary endorsement.
When they did not, they went to federal court to denying access to a large group of minorities we told the DNC we were trying to empower with the early caucus date granted to us by the DNC
Great shame has come to Nevada. You don't change the rules with hours left before the caucus. Especially rules unanimously approved months ago.
Shame on you Senator Harry Reid
I can't see racism;this is plain and simple back room political dealing.Senator Reid is simply standing by the deal he cut to deliver Nevada to Hillary.Let's not let any voters get in the way.
OldTimeDemocrat - do you really think people will buy your nonsense? Obama has not played the "race card" and I have no idea how you came to the "conclusion" that he is a bad lawyer. What a joke. Seriously. Do you have anything to substantiate your "claims"...just because his campaign is keeping track of Clinton's garbage that she is spewing? Please.
I have no doubt that you are an old time dem and probably support the other old time dem - Hillary Clinton.
America is sick of these games. Obama is the future. He has vision, integrity, skill, and oh yeah - those endorsements. (Although HRC would love to separate the union into factions.)
Obama '08!
I hate to be so rude as to ask, but how many members of the Culinary Union are non-citizens, working with counterfeit green cards? I know of one, who works at the Bellagio. He's the husband of my next door neighbor's home health care aide. The whole illegal alien family gets Culinary union health benefits, while the average working Democrat who is a citizen gets squat.
My second question is how many members of the Culinary Union are registered voters?
Frankly, I found D. Taylor to be snotty and smarmy in his comments when the Culinary Union announced its endorsement of Barak Obama. Taylor puffed up his chest and said Culinary is going to challenge the Democrat political establishment. So what. I've got news for him. The Culinary Union is very unpopular with working class Democrats who are the wrong ethnicity to get an entry level union job at one of the Strip casinos.
I don't like Hillary Clinton. But since I don't like the Culinary Union hell will freeze over before I'll caucus for Barak Obama.
There may well be a marked anti-Culinary Union backlash which hurts Obama next Saturday.
I guess the Democratic race has only two candidates, judging by the coverage in these Sun blogs. All Obama and Clinton. Polls show that Edwards is the candidate Republicans fear most. The general election won't be decided by Hispanics and union endorsements, or who has the most charisma or sheds the most tears. Fire in the belly and willingness to take on the Republican establishment will be the most important ingredient. The Republican smear machine will find it easy to shoot down the candidates of hope and nostalgia for the nineties. They might find it a little tougher to deal with a candidate that has been fighting and winning against corporations all his life.
obama is not playing any race card. hrc is just all whiny sour grapes, gloating+smearing to evade explanations of substance. like her saying she needn't explain what she did or didnt do, her experience will speak as we all bow down to the concept "experience" itself without questioning it too much. her experience will speak+she could be competent, but not great. if you really understand how bad a shape we're in now, the changes need to be great, not just competent. whoever says obama's kissing up to lobbyists, hilary far outdoes him+everyone else put together in terms of lobbyism. her health care and iran plans are ill-concieved and even potentially dangerous, while not sounding too practical either. i'd rather a well-thought-out+dynamically active obama competently execute great ideas than see hilary excellently+experiencedly turn tired, lukewarm ideas into reality&"let's-leave-it-at-adequate-if-not-mediocre" ideas into action. i say clinton's so-so plans+ideas are not worth doing greatly. i'd rather great ideas done competently+professionally. and whoever doesn't find barack obama to be inspired+professional as well, is a brainwashed sheep following the complacent herd, that'd rather go with who's most apt to win than go with who can really make some seriously important changes. if you're like that, why even read on the issues? just check the polls til the last minute+vote for whoever's got the highest number. defeats the point of democracy, this blind primacy, does it not?
Holy buttwadd Johnny, take a breather and find some punctuation. It's like trying to read a foot-long ingredient list.
Old Time Democrat,
These people are so drunk on the Obama KoolAid that they can't think logically. I have no idea as to why they think Senator Obama is competent enough to be our president - at best, he might be able to be an apprentice president - sort of stand in the wings and watch as a real president works and so he can try to learn from that.
Regarding Obama's resume, I like to ask you to compare my resume to his.
* Obama was against the war before he was for it.
* I am now and have always been against this war.
* Obama is a lawyer wanna-be.
* I never wanted to be a lawyer.
* Obama has international experience. He was in an Indonesian grade school for four years.
* I have international experience. I worked at a research center in Europe for four years.
* Obama did drugs when he was younger (I think it was cocaine)
* I may have smoked grass when I was younger but maybe I didn't. I still am not sure how one of Nevada's ghost towns burned down.
* Obama never did any time in the military but he was a state senator in Illinois where he voted PRESENT 130 times.
* I was in the military during Viet Nam and probably got drunk 130 times......... in one year when I was stationed in Fallon.
So, who do you think should be given the apprentice president position - Hussein Obama or me? Do we need to caucus. Do we have D. Taylor's permission?
OldTimeDemocrat:
Took almost a minute to the find an article describing Barack Obama's first job after law school on the Boston Globe web site.
http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articl...
1. Obama was recruited for the job straight out of law school.
"Attorney Judson Miner called Harvard to offer a job to a graduating student named Barack Obama and didn't expect to be showered with gratitude. Still, he wasn't expecting the reception he got.
You can leave your name and take a number," the woman who answered the phone at the Harvard Law Review said breezily. "You're No. 647."
2. Details on the firm that hired him: Miner Barnhill & Galland.
The firm of Miner Barnhill & Galland, many of whose members have Harvard and Yale law degrees, has a reputation that fits nicely into the resume of a future presidential candidate.
"It's a real do-good firm," says Fay Clayton, lead counsel for the National Organization for Women in a landmark lawsuit aimed at stopping abortion clinic violence. "Barack and that firm were a perfect fit. He wasn't going to make as much money there as he would at a LaSalle Street firm or in New York, but money was never Barack's first priority anyway."
Miner was Chicago's corporation counsel under Harold Washington, the city's first black mayor, in the 1980s when Washington was battling for control of the City Council against remnants of the once-mighty Machine."
Per the Globe article, Obama worked at the firm while teaching at Chicago and, for a portion of that time, serving in the IL State Senate.
3. Obama teaches constitutional law at Chicago.
http://www.barackobama.com/learn/meet_ba...
After Harvard Law, Obama "returned to Chicago to practice as a civil rights lawyer and teach constitutional law." (per Obama campaign web site) His campaign site does not claim Obama was a law school professor. Since Obama, unlike Hillary, managed to pass the bar exam on his first try and taught law (along with editing Harvard's law review), we can only infer that he was a very good student.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/con...
4. "Lawyers have an old expression. Those who can't do it, teach it. Those who can't teach it go into politics." I'm glad lawyers also use a version of the familiar phrase "Those that can, do, those that can't teach." That seems a good fit with this story about a teachers' union suddenly finding Nevada's caucus rules objectionable when they've known about the rules for months before the caucus date. I guess they certainly can't do, e.g. object when the caucus rules were drafted, but they can teach us all what voter suppression looks like.
Only a fool could vote for Barack Hussein Osama!

I hope folks have stopped drinking the Clinton kool-aid from the 90s... Awww, Shrillary doesn't get the endorsement and days later, there's a lawsuit with all the plaintiffs connected to her. Funny that there were no objections when these caucus sites were approved last year... Two words folks: sour grapes.
Remember, Shrillary did the same thing in Iowa after she lost those caucuses, she dissed the entire state and her supporters. Use and abuse, that should be Billarys' new campaign theme!
The Nevada State Education Assn and all its members should be so proud of Warne.... ;-)
knowzitall,
don't you think that having these at large districts would not be as bad if the Union hadn't endorsed anyone. then there would be no pressure on the rank and file to caucus for the Union-candidate. so don't blame the plaintiffs because they are just filing suit. i think caucusing with co-workers when the union leadership had endorsed a candidate is unduly coercive.
New Democrat:
Miner, Barnhill & Galland was the SECOND law firm Obama worked for, after he bombed out at the first law firm which you still haven't named. Presumably, Obama hides the name of the first law firm he worked for, during his first two years as a lawyer, because he's afraid someone there will criticize the quality of his work.
Your information that Miner, Barnhill & Galland was "Chicago's corporation counsel under Harold Washington" tells me far more than you can possibly imagine.
Harold Washington's administration was probably the most incompetent, corrupt, clannish administration the city ever suffered under during the 20th Century. I know this because a lawyer I worked with had a father on the Chicago City Council. My friend was always doing legal research for his father, trying to figure out how to undo the sleazy crap which Harold Washington and his lawyers (corporation counsel) were doing.
Lawyers for cities are usually the "architects of the evil" because they are smart enough to figure out how to do the unfair, corrupt things their politician clients want. It took several new mayors after Harold Washington, to clean up the corruption, graft and ineptitude he and his lawyers built into Chicago's public agencies.
So thanks for the detail on Miner Barnhill & Galland. The brains behind sleazy political hacks. If I were Obama, I would be hiding the fact that I worked for them too.
And, by the way, Miner Barnhill & Galland IS a second rate law firm in the pecking order of large law firms in Chicago who have a national law practice doing high quality, sophisticated legal work. That is true regardless of whether or not Obama ever worked for them.
Just a disgraceful lawsuit by Clinton, and Obama is right to call her on it. Where was this lawsuit 9 months ago when the rules were made up? Oh right, the union hadn't endorsed Obama at the time. So now you sue.
Darryl, you are outright lying about Obama's record just like every other Clinton shill. He has never been for the war. In 2004, while helping Kerry, who had voted for the war, he said that he might have voted differently if there was info in the NIE (the same one HILLARY DIDN'T READ), but that from his point of view the case had not been made. His present votes were either coordinated with the appropriate groups (e.g. planned parenthood) as part of a broader strategy, or were protest votes on bills he supported in principle but thought to be poorly written or unconstitutional. I've yet to see a Clintonista actually point to a vote that does not meet 1 of these 2 criteria.
Quit spamming the same comment on every blog. The good people of NV have the sense to see through this Rovian smokescreen.
Comment removed by staff.
The at-large sites were designed specifically by Reid and Collins to assure a HRC victory. They both placed the entire party and its orgs behind her very early on. There were people from her camp that wanted sites at all the resorts. Same with Edwards.
Every union in the state supported the Strip sites as did every single elected Dem in NV.
All the campaigns agreed to the formula, we could not have received DNC approval without having them on-board.
226 upset a huge apple-cart of entrenched and very corrupted politicians and operatives at NSDP. Whereas the NSDP should have been neutral, they chose to back only one horse in this race and that really angered each of the other campaigns.
The NSDP Harry Reid Inc machine knows they are all on the outside looking in if HRC doesn't win here, or win the nomination.
Simply put, we had a deal, anyone could have raised objected months ago, but two days after 226, leaves an indelible appearance of racism, sour grapes, and changing the rules in the 11th hour.
All filed by white people, which just looks terrible regardless of their intent. That party leaders from Clark County Chair, NSDP state & county eboards and SCC are involved makes us all look like we're attempting now to deny participation. There was no need for anyone in Dem party leadership to join NSEA in this lawsuit-- none-- and they should all be ashamed of themselves, none more than Senator Harry Reid for refusing to denounce this effort, thereby encouraging it.
I know them all, they are not racists, but because they failed to consider anything before rushing to court, they've left us all holding this giant bag of sh*t and we look disgraceful on the national stage now.
btw, I know Justin Miner well, and our virulent racists above are pulling out all the racist code words he can find and showing HRC's true colors too, she truly is a congenital liar as Safire called her, and these people are despicable.
Miner is a fine man who help guide Chicago from her 'Beruit-by-the-Lake' days and to imply BO is a product of the Chicago machine is just plain wrong.
Clark County Chair John Hunt and his allies made a very bad judgment mistake last Friday and left us to mop up the mess they made.
As a retired lifelong teacher and member of teacher organizations, I am embarrassed that the teacher union in Nevada is participating in the effort to shut down the at- large caucus sites. Particularly offensive is the statement that it makes it "too easy" to vote. That is what teachers should be about. If teachers believe that it gives unfair advantage, it seems to me that the better effort would be to ensure easy voting for those citizens they feel are being disenfranchised. At the base of a public school teacher's life is to serve justice and equality. I would ask that you think about your participation in this suit. Does it foster equal voting rights? Does it serve the needs of all citizens of Nevada? Does it really foster Democratic principles?
Yeah, Knozitall, it's always the fault of white people. Give me a break.
Let's just get to the heart of the matter. First, this lawsuit was not brought by Senator Clinton or anyone in her organization. It was brought about by the Teacher's Union and I suppose that you think it is right to force them to forego their judicial rights just because you think white folks are being mean to BO (boy that fits).
This process is flawed and I do not care who thought it up or who approved it. I am not a lawyer but this simply has to be unconstituional. When you make working men and women come to their place of employment and caucus for a candidate when on of those candidates has been endorsed by their Union leadership, that is not democracy, that is coercion. I hope the judge postpones the whole Nevada vote until someone comes up with a one man, one vote concept instead of the current plan.
I said the appearances were bad...and it is fact this is all white people party to this frivolous lawsuit who said nothing not even one hour before the 226 endoresement.
NSEA board and members are all with HRC; no one doubts that the union and its brass are with her.
Re-read your US Constitution, this is not an election, and Equal Protection/One man, one vote does not relate to a meeting which is what a caucus is. The DNC has the right to create and enforce its own rules and all conformed to those rules and all was unanimously approved.
The Supreme Court settled this long ago. These people are bucking the DNC here. They OK'd all of this.
If you want the Constitution to protect future efforts, insist your NV state reps move us from a caucus to a Primary where 'one man, one vote' is scrupulously enforced by both NV and the feds.
NV was at one time a Primary state, but the Dem Bosses wanted to tell you what they were going to do, not allow you the ability to vote in an actual election, hence the NV presidential caucus, instead of a Primary.
Senator Harry Reid sent the party caucus into hyper-drive as he and his corrupted pals and cronies want nothing whatsoever to do with actually empowering any voters in NV, especially minority voters. They want to loot the booty and keep you out of it as voters.
How do you think Harry Reid became a multi-millionaire without ever holding a job in the private sector?
He promised HRC he would deliver NV's caucus in exchange for her keeping him as Senate Majority Leader.
Everyone knows he's out as SML with a BO or JE win as Senator Harry Reid has never supported or nominated a black person to US Attorney, FBI, Postal Board, State Con office, Fed office, State Party Chair, County Chair...nothing.
He is thought a hardcore racist by many, and his actions tend to reinforce that perception, fair or not.
NSDP has no permanent black employees and never did. This is 100% Harry Reid's party, with black, brown & yellow faces almost non-existent, and none in any real positions of power. His Clark Dem board is 100% white.
We are the most lily-white Dem party in America, even SD's party is more diverse than NV under Senator Harry Reid.
He says one thing and does another. He is as phony as the day is long, and take a look around his personally approved NSDP that show what this man is really all about.
Lay 100% of the blame for all of this at Harry Reid's feet, as this is 100% his doing.
Truth (liar)!
You call yourself truth; does that mean that you are the truth? Maybe you are also the Way and Life!
Obama is not a Muslim, never was.
Obama is not racist. In case you did not know his mother is white and his father is black! Now tell me which part of himself can he throw away?
The Clintons care only about power and themselves. They are masters of politics of destruction. If they cannot have something, then no one else should have it. They are ready to use everyone to achieve their goals. It does not matter if they have to hurt and destroy. They did not win the Culinary endorsement, now they want to destroy their votes. Does this look to you like Hillary has what it takes to be different from Bush?
Have forgotten all the scandals, the humiliations, and division this country has endured under 8 years of Clinton? Is that not enough for you? You want more?
Obama is a unifier, the Clintons are trying to destroy him and with the help of people like you. You don’t stop at anything; any lie is permitted as long as you can put Obama down.
Now there is a new dimension of racism that is introduced in the race to distract people. There was not racism in Iowa; Obama won. The Clintons cleverly introduced it in NH because Hillary was about to get out of the race. Now racism is all over. Stop the Politics of destruction!
How can this country change for the better if people are always cut with race! Obama is mixed race. Should that not by itself unite us? No, the Clintons want power again. So there need to use old wounds, ignorance, divisions, and fear.
It is time to start a new era of politics in this country. Yes We Can!
Knowzitall, why do you keep bringing race into this issue. How is that unifying? If you continue to make race an issue, you are inviting others to do the same thing and that is not good for anyone.
Dusacre, you seem to have a short memory or else you like to intentionally distort the truth and try to re-write history for the sake of your failed arguements and support for a status quo politician.
The eight years of the Clinton administration were a very positive time for this country, socially and economically. The fact that a republican held congress tried endlessly to find them guilty of everything including the death of Vince Foster is where the scandal lies. They spent several hundred million dollars of tax payers money on a fishing trip hoping to find Bill and Hillary guilty of something. But they didn't, did they.
What they finally did was entrap Bill in a trial where they literally set him up - even to the point of having him testify on a day when a juror could not be present so they would have an excuse to video tape his testimony. and then, out of nowhere, they asked about Lewinsky. They had obtained the information illegally, had a Republican Supreme Court decide against him, thus forcing him to testify and then set him up.
Want to talk about scandals - let's talk about the fact that the BO people want to distort the Clinton years, distort the contributions the Clinton's have made to improve the lives of minorities during their years in the White House and their years in the Governor's Mansion in Arkansas, and today distort everything Hillary says and try to make it seem as though she is a racist is the real scandal. Obama is supporting this - engages in it himself - and then claims he is the candidate of change. This is politics as usual and he is a liar, as usual.
Coolican -- your comment at the end of your simplistic post said it all -- you are for Obama, aren't you?
Comment removed by staff.
Please Ignore the Hilary Troll paided to Blog for Hilary. This campaign is about the issues, the personalities & the money. Right now Hilary has accepted the most amount of money from lobbyists groups then any senator in congress. Obama doesn't take one cent. Obama is what we need in this country, right now.
Muslim blood eh? I think I'll have mine checked;show me the hospital that does that test. You might want to test the stain on a blue dress and we haven't even started talking about Vince Foster yet.
Coolican, are you posting on this site and if so, what name are you using?
Obviously, if you don't agree with what a minister believes and preaches, you don't attend his church. Osama not only attends Wright's church but is also good buddies with the minister.
He was married by the minister, his two kids were baptized by him and they work together all the time. Wright was the 1st person Barack Osama thanked after winning the Senate in 04.
The minister is also good buddies with louis farrakhan. In fact, in 1984 when the US was having big problems with Gaddafi, Farrakhan and Wright visited their good friend Gaddafi.
Louis Farrakhan and Barack Hussein Osama are buddies as well. The church, the nation of islam and Barack Hussein are all good friends.
Wright said two days after 9/11 that America deserved the attacks because of it's racist policies. To quote it word for word:
“In the 21st century, white America got a wake-up call after 9/11/01,” Wright wrote in a church-affiliated magazine. (TrumpetMag.com, which has farrakhan on the cover) “White America and the western world came to realize that people of color had not gone away, faded into the woodwork or just ‘disappeared’ as the Great White West kept on its merry way of ignoring black concerns.”
In one of his sermons, Wright said, “Racism is how this country was founded and how this country is still run!...We [in the U.S.] believe in white supremacy and black inferiority and believe it more than we believe in God.”
These statements by Osama's minister are exactly in line with Louis Farrakhan's previous anti-American, anti-white, anti-Jewish comments. Furthermore, Wright is no more a minister of the Judeo-Christian God than the leader of the nation of islam is, yet, they both call themselves ministers.
Now, let's look at what Farrakhan says about his favorite candidate and secret friend.
"If avoiding me would help him to become president, I'd be glad to stay in the background"
http://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/story?id...
These guys are blatant racists and should be avoided at all costs. They are anti-American, anti-White, anti-Israel and black power freaks.
Iowa is 98% white and Osama won. Do you think this would be the case if they knew what a racist he is and who he is affiliated with? Do you think we are on our own because these facts should be public knowledge and yet they are not because the media only says what they want you to hear?
Think for yourself and help prevent others from ruining this country by voting for the Black Panther's, nation of islam's, and al qaida's BEST FRIEND.
This is very serious and the only way we can alter the course is by spreading the truth to others. Change the outcome of this race for Barack's change... no one wants!!
Barrack Obama's 11 largest voting percentage were all caucus states. This bears repeating, out of all the states that have cast votes, the top 11 that voted for Barrack Obama were all caucus states in which 88% less voters determine the selection of each delegate.
Further proof that caucuses overwhelmingly misrepresent Barrack Obama can be found in Washington State. Washington State held both a caucus and then 10 days later a non binding primary. Barrack Obama won the caucus 68-31%, then barely eeked out a win 50% to 49.6%.in the primary race. Barrack Obama netted 53 delegates, HIllary Clinton only 25, this in a state that had a non-binding primary that ended up in a virtual dead heat.
Barrack Obama then used his caucus lead to demand that first the delegates, then the superdelegates, tow the line. And to top it off, it's Hillary that is being portrayed as the villian in all of this. I don't think so.
You all owe Bill Clinton an apology for not being able to comprehend his very salient and intellectually superior position.
http://www.alessandromachi.blogspot.com/...
I can't believe the number of racism accusations that are being made. This had nothing to do with racism, it had to do with fair-reflection of the state of Nevada as a whole.
If the caucus voting locations on the strip have an unrealistically high total as compared to the voting from the the rest of the state, it's not representational, it's not a fair reflection of all of the states voters.
The issue is whether or not overvotes from the strip are fair. Instead, the issue is changed to "white people being racist."
Barack Obama's response is right out of the Florida 2000 Republican playbook when Al Gore was asking for a recount and the republicans accused him of trying to change the rules until he won. It's really sleazy of Barack Obama to not acknowledge fair reflection as he accuses the other side of changing the rules until they win.
David Axelrod seems to be a real sleazeball behind the scenes as well. Bill Clinton was pointing out that the state should represent all voters equally, and for that he gets called a racist.
Unbelieveable.
