Seventy-seven-year-old Sen. Mike Gravel climbed to the stage platform to watch and respond to the Democratic presidential debate televised in a ballroom at the Paris Hotel and Casino on Thursday evening in Las Vegas. Gravel was shut out of the debate by CNN because he didn't meet the fundraising threshold set by CNN of $1 million. He had raised about $240,000 through September.
