Las Vegas guide to the Fourth of July

This Fourth of July weekend will offer ample opportunity to catch fireworks on display throughout the Valley. Boulder City will be shooting them off at Veteran’s Memorial Park at 9 p.m. as part of the 60th annual Boulder City Damboree. Festivities at the Henderson Events Plaza will begin at 6 p.m. while Henderson’s Eldorado Casino will wait until 7:30 p.m.

Michelin: Bad economy means no 2010 guide in Las Vegas

Count Las Vegas out for the Michelin Guide in 2010. A spokeswoman for the company said it will temporarily discontinue guides for Las Vegas and Los Angeles next year because of the economy, though it has plans to resume publishing for both cities in 2011.
