It’s time for your 15 minutes in fame. Better yet, why not get your six days in June? Las Vegas’ own CineVegas Film Festival brings a taste of Sundance and Cannes to the desert every summer for a week of parties, amazing films and stimulating discussions with those in the industry.

The deadline is fast approaching to submit film entries for the 2009 festival, running from June 10-15. Submit your film by March 1 for a chance to participate in this year’s festival. The open call for entries includes all sorts of categories like Area 52- an avant-garde category for the more bizarre entries, Nevada filmmaking- showcasing local work and Pioneer Documentaries- a competitive category for the best of the best in the often over looked genre.

CineVegas seeks to push the envelope with films intended to be though provoking and edgy, even amidst the craziness of a Las Vegas setting. If you want to make your mark on the film industry or get your foot in the door with a coveted addition to any filmmakers resume, submit your film for consideration.
