Move over Killers and Panic at the Disco, another Las Vegas-based band is poised for national recognition.

Hard 8, kicking around the local club scene for six years, has signed an agreement with the UFC to use 17 of the group's songs during upcoming events.

Ultimate Fighting Championship, based in Las Vegas, is the largest mixed martial arts organization in the world so the band should gain some degree of instant fame.

The 17 songs are so new they aren't yet available on CD, but if you would like to hear what the band sounds like you can check out their current CD "Ultraviolet," available at CD Baby, Interpunk, and iTunes.

Hard 8 is recording its second CD now.
