"Beautiful Children," Charles Bock's debut novel set in Las Vegas, seems to be doing quite well. By that we mean, No. 27 on the New York Times bestseller list and he's bouncing all over Amazon.com.
The author, born and raised in Las Vegas, has received a lot of attention and praise following the January release of "Beautiful Children" (Random House), which details the complexity of damaged lives -- parents dealing with the disappearance of their 12-year-old son or a stripper whose boyfriend has his own plans for her future.
