Mariela Moreno
The body found in Sunset Park on Feb. 29 is that of 20-year-old Mariela Moreno of Henderson.
She had been missing since New Year's Day. Police are investigating her death as a homicide.
Moreno was identified through fingerprints, Clark Count Coroner Michael Murphy said. Her cause of death
has not been determined and is under investigation, he said.
Police said Moreno's boyfriend, Isidro Munoz, told her family that he dropped her off at her house at 4:30 a.m. on Jan. 1 after they had spent New Year's Eve with friends. Munoz said he drove away, but never saw her make it to the front door.
