After a Family Court hearing today, Stanley and Colleen Rimer did not return home with their four children who have been in protective custody since the June 9 discovery of their 2-year-old son, Jason Rimer, dead in the family's SUV.

Clark County's Department of Family Services is digging through 20 years of archived reports covering 22 reports of abuse and neglect field against the family, said Christine Skorupski, public information officer of the department.

Two neglect complaints were substantiated, one in 1988 and the other in 1991, Skorupski said. She said she could not release details in those two cases.

The four children, ranging in age from 4 to 14 years old, will remain in protective custody until the next hearing on July 11, Skorupski said. While they have been at Child Haven, they could be placed in foster care or in a relative's home until the hearing, but will remain in protective custody, she said.
