Metro Police are continuing to investigate the deaths of a man and a woman found dead in an apartment on Desert Inn Road earlier this month.

The Clark County Coroner's Office Monday identified the woman as 45-year-old Beverly Oliva Dorsey of Las Vegas. On June 4 the coroner said that 61-year-old John Welton Porter of Las Vegas was the other victim.

The cause of Dorsey's death was blunt force head trauma. The cause of Porter's death is still pending further investigation, a spokeswoman at the coroner's office said.

Both bodies were found about 2 p.m. June 2 at the Country Club Shadows apartment complex, 350 E. Paradise Road near Desert Inn Road.

Officers went to check the apartment after a man called, concerned because Porter had missed work for three weeks, police said.

Officers looked through a window and discovered a body on the bathroom floor. Police have not determined the relationship between the man and the woman.
