Metro Police say a suitcase left in an Auto Zone business at Desert Inn Road and Nellis Boulevard does not pose a threat.

A man walked into the Auto Zone about 2 p.m. and asked if he could leave his suitcase. When workers refused, the man left the suitcase behind and walked away.

Police closed roads in the area of Nellis Boulevard and Desert Inn Road after the suitcase was discovered.

Police evacuated the Auto Zone, a Circle K and a Fresh and Easy as well as other businesses in the area.

Nellis Boulevard north to south from Vegas Drive to Twain and Desert Inn east to west between Aloha Street and Cabana Avenue have been closed, Officer Martin L. Wright said.
