Metro Police arrested a 30-year-old Las Vegas man today for a murder committed more than a year ago.
Metro detectives arrested Deshon Tyler on charges of murder with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle and destruction of evidence. He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
Police responded to a report of a man shot on March 6, 2007 at Las Vegas Boulevard South and Reno Avenue. They found 22-year-old Denardo Burch of Las Vegas inside his vehicle with several gunshot wounds.
Burch was taken to University Medical Center where he died the next day.
Homicide detectives learned that Burch was in his vehicle stopped at a red light on Las Vegas Boulevard when a dark-colored vehicle pulled up next to his. After a shouting match, a man in the dark vehicle fired numerous rounds at Burch. The dark vehicle fled the scene before police arrived.
