North Las Vegas Police today released surveillance video images of one of two men suspected of an attempted robbery earlier this week.

Authorities said the two men at 12:30 p.m. Monday entered the AT&T store at 6436 North Decatur Blvd. The men then tried to pull a cell phone from a display but weren't able to detach the phone from the case it was locked to, investigators said.

After trying to pull the phone from its attached cable, a store manager told the men to leave the store. One of the men then threatened to "pistol whip" the manager and exposed a black pistol in his waistband, police said.

The men then left the store in an unknown direction.

One man was described as white, about 20 years old and 5-foot-8 weighing about 160 pounds. He had blond hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

The second man was described as black, about 20 years old and 5-foot-8 weighing about 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a yellow T-shirt, black shorts and white sneakers. His hair was pulled back in a pony tail, investigators said.

The surveillance video images were only released for one man because quality images don't exist for the second suspect, police said.
