Metro Police will be on the lookout for impaired drivers Saturday night and into Sunday morning.

Officers will conduct a sobriety checkpoint from 7 p.m. Saturday to 3 a.m. Sunday in the area of Charleston Boulevard and Eastern Avenue. The checkpoint will focus on identifying drivers impaired by drugs or alcohol, police said.

The Metro Police DUI van also will be at the scene to help officers.

  1. why the advance notice? wont the drunks avoid the area? I am confused!

  2. I hope i never go into battle with these reporters nor do i think they should report on our soldiers engaged in battle,
we are at war with drunk drivers and this reporter might even contribute to the death of someone killed by a drunk driver, we know that the suns staff has giving away our position and we are at a even larger disadvantage!
Thanks goes to the staff for dialect of duty, Conduct unbecoming!
