It seems like O.J. Simpson still can't keep himself out of the spotlight.
The former football star allegedly violated the terms of his bail agreement with the state, prompting a District Court judge today to revoke the deal, according to court records.
The Associated Press is reporting Simpson, who is a Florida resident, is now in custody there.
In September, Simpson promised a District Court judge he would not have any contact – direct or indirect – with victims, witnesses or co-defendants related to his alleged involvement in a robbery that month at Palace Station. The judge accepted $125,000 bail.
Simpson, in a voicemail message transcribed in court papers, allegedly directed his bail bondsman to contact co-defendant Clarence Stewart: “don’t be trying to change s--- now.”
We shortened the quote, because much of his message was laced with obscenities.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department released a statement saying that it is not involved in the Simpson situation, because the private bail bond company Simpson used in Las Vegas has revoked the bond — thus it is a civil matter between the two parties.
Metro also said it expected Simpson to arrive at the Clark County Detention Center later this evening
