A Las Vegas man accused of defrauding several credit card processing companies of millions of dollars pleaded guilty today to making a false statement on a credit application, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.
In his plea agreement, Andrew Michael, 39, of Las Vegas admitted he worked with Bernadette Pagan and Phyllis Ries to use false financial information, false bank references and false independent audit reports to apply for an $8.5 million dollar commercial line of credit with Citibank, causing the bank to issue three Diners Club Corporate Cards to them. Michael later attempted to increase the credit line to $20 million.
