A Las Vegas jury today found Raven Navajo, a transgender woman, guilty of second degree murder in the killing of a local cocktail waitress last year.

The victim, Brenda Schmalfeldt, was last seen alive leaving a bar on East Flamingo Road with Navajo on Jan. 13, 2007.

Schmalfeldt was drinking with friends at Zodies when she disappeared.

Prosecutors said Navajo killed the cocktail waitress and then drove around with her body, finally throwing it into a Dumpster.
