Police are continuing their investigation into the death of a 39-year-old Henderson motorcyclist struck last week by a pickup truck at an intersection near Stephanie Street.
While speed is not considered a factor and the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, investigators are performing a toxicology test to determine if drugs or alcohol were involved.
The man, whose name has not yet been released, was driving east on American Pacific Drive approaching Pacific Crest Drive about 7:10 p.m. Friday when a 2006 Ford F-350 driven by Charles F. Gesser, 44, made a left turn into the path of the man's 2006 Suzuki. The motorcyclist died at the scene.
The Clark County Coroner's Office is withholding the motorcyclist's name, pending positive identification and notification of his family.
This is the sixth traffic-related fatality in Henderson this year.
