Metro Police arrest suspect in Minxx Night Club shooting

Metro Police detectives, with investigative assistance from numerous federal, state, county and local law enforcement agencies, arrested 29-year-old Arvin Kenti Edwards late today in the Feb. 19, 2007, shooting at

the Minxx Night Club.

Edwards, of Renton, Wash., was in custody in the Yakima County Correctional facility at Yakima, Wash., on unrelated charges when a combined effort by law enforcement agencies led Metro detectives to identify Edwards as the suspect in the Minxx shooting, Metro Police said.

Edwards was placed under arrest in the Las Vegas shooting on the following charges: three counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon and three counts of battery with substantial bodily harm.

A local bouncer, Tommy Urbanski, was paralyzed during the melee that involved football star Adam "Pacman" Jones.

In January District Court Judge Jessie Walsh quashed a lawsuit filed against Jones' Tennessee Titans by Urbanski, saying the incident during the NBA's All-Star weekend had "nothing to do with the Titans."

Urbanski was shot in the ninth thoracic vertebra and has had lengthy hospitalization and rehabilitation sessions since the shooting.

Jones and Jones' 37-year-old bodyguard, Robert Reid of California, and 25-year-old Sadia Morrison of California were charged with Jones for fighting at the club.

  1. Can't wait for Oscar to get some pro sports franchises here. Think of the savings and convenience when we have our own phalanx of uniformed professional criminal-multimillionaires right here in LV. We won't have to go searching from coast to coast for the perps.
